Journal: development as a phtographer

Last year was my first year taking photography as a class. Though before I always took pictures. Since then I've seen major improvement in the quality and composure of my shots. I no longer just hold out my camera and hope for the best. I actually adjust settings; changes to the aperture, white balance and exposure. The lesson plan that I most benefited from was honestly all of them. I use all my knowledge when I take pictures because I no longer take as many pictures as I can and hope that I get a few good ones. I look for a good composed picture and I adjust myself and my camera accordingly. I would describe my photographic style as moody, usually with dark lighting with a few bright touches. I like taking pictures of nature. Clouds especially. I really liked the "scapes" photo project from last year because I got to take pictures of the things I like most.
